Immigration

I decided to represent immigration as butterflies and a person because the butterflies will symbolize freedom and dreams. I wanted the main focus to be on the person holding a butterfly to show how people are holding onto their dreams. I did this by drawing the butterflies towards the person instead of away.
The colors I chose were different shades of orange and yellow. I wanted the darker orange, almost brown, to represent the dirt and hard work that immigrants have done. The yellow bits represent the bright side and further emphasizes their dreams.
